Slightly controversial but this is Bob's story! |

Bobs massage training, but not via a school!
My training was not at a school, but from a highly qualified massage therapist who had been in licensed practice for several decades. She helped me with my back problems; I'd had two surgeries with only moderate pain relief. I visited her weekly for several months for $55/hr at her massage business in Hillsboro, Texas. and we became good friends. At length she confided in me that she had always had an aversion to massaging women, and absolutely would not permit one to massage her.
The nearest male practitioner was in Waco and she had prejudices which precluded her using him. Noting my arm strength (6'1", 210 athletic pounds then and now, and huge (size 14 gloves) constantly hot hands, she asked if I'd be interested in learning, from her, and then we'd swap, cancelling my $55.00 a week bill. I leapt at the chance and in 5,6 weeks we began swapping, and we both loved it, she being quick to say I had an instinct for it and was better than any of the pro's she'd seen. After a few months she told me she had several married "soccer moms" who had terrible bouts with PMS, and that the problem was moving the huge supply of liquid accumulating, through standard lymphatic movement and draining massage procedures, and that she'd give me material and sponsor me at a seminar on the subject.
The massage relief came from manipulation of the underarm glands and breasts, and the groins, pubis and that general area, which my friend could not bring herself to do. She assured me it was safe for me to do it, as long as I didn't misrepresent my qualifications, accept financial rewards, or behave in a manner offensive to the clients, all of whom were and are married (to the same guys) and had young children.
I began doing it, at first under her direct supervision and later on my own, and it was a pleasant experience for all concerned. My friend eventually married and moved to the coast and I accommodated my clients at my lake house in Navarro County. While I tried to keep the numbers small, they did grow over the years and new clients came aboard. They all get the same treatment; a 10 minute trip thru the jacuzzi, towel drying and an hour or so on my portable table.
I have had no complaints, have not advertised and would not like more clients because I like to choose them, and not be tied down by the numbers. I do not need the money, and enjoy making others comfortable and happy. Bob
